Founded and led by Gary Shaw, an openly gay PGA Professional, it draws on his experience as both a coach and a gay man within golf.
Whether you want to learn the basics, play more regularly or prepare for competition, you can develop your skills alongside others and enjoy being yourself in the game.

With guidance from Gary, work on your skills, explore the decisions you make on the course and put what you learn into practice.

Beginnings: From Ireland to London
LGBT Golf grew from Gary Shaw’s work in inclusive coaching in Ireland, including Inclusive Golf Kildare at Naas Golf Club, developed with support from Golf Ireland for young golfers with additional needs.
That experience shaped his approach to creating welcoming places to learn and play. After moving to London, Gary brought that approach into LGBT Golf, combining professional coaching with shared play and LGBT+ representation.
